breast augmentation

Can I pay in installments?

It is possible to pay in installments. Treatments from € 1000 are eligible to be financed. For this we work together with our partner Cosmetic Finance . You can easily submit an application online via their website.

What are the risks of a breast augmentation?

A breast augmentation is a safe procedure and complications are very rare. But like any other surgical operation, there are risks involved. Sometimes a scar does not heal as well as expected or there is excessive capsular formation or capsular contraction around the implant. Dr. Kazem will discuss all possible risks in detail during your consultation.

Are the results of a breast augmentation permanent?

In the past, it was often advised to replace the implants after ten years. However, high-quality implants from Mentor, for example, have a much longer lifespan. The choice for a prosthesis change usually arises because after twenty years the breasts no longer fit the body. Weight gain, gravity, sagging skin or menopause change the shape, size and firmness of the breasts. A breast lift, possibly combined with new implants, gives the breasts its beautiful natural shape again.

How long will it take for me to recover?

You can usually go home a few hours after the procedure and you can take a shower the same day. Your breasts may feel a bit sensitive and tight for the first few weeks. This is mainly because the skin has to adapt to the larger volume of the breasts. You can resume light daily activities two days after surgery. During the first two weeks you should not exercise or lift intensively. You will be fully recovered after fourteen days.

breast lift

Can I pay in installments?

It is possible to pay in installments. Treatments from € 1000 are eligible to be financed. For this we work together with our partner Cosmetic Finance . You can easily submit an application online.

Are the results of a breast lift permanent?

Most women are very satisfied with the results of a breast lift. The result is long lasting but unfortunately not always permanent. After the breast lift, the breasts can become saggy again due to: pregnancy, the natural aging process of the skin, weight gain and weight loss. To enjoy the results of a breast lift for a long time, it is important to take good care of the skin and to prevent weight fluctuations. If you would like to lose some weight, it is therefore better to do so before the breast lift.

What are the risks of a breast lift surgery?

A breast lift is a safe procedure and complications are very rare. But just like any other surgical operation, there are risks involved, such as bleeding or wound infection. Scars sometimes heal less quickly or remain more clearly visible. When the position of nipples has changed significantly, they can remain less sensitive. Dr. Kazem discusses the possible risks in detail during your consultation.

Will I have a scar?

The location and size of the scars depend on the type of breast lift and the amount of skin removed. The animation video shows which surgical techniques are used for a breast lift and the location of the scars. The scars do not disappear, but become light thin lines that are less and less noticeable.
Our Nefera Scar Cream soothes the scars and promotes faster healing. Expose the scars as little as possible to direct sunlight in the first year and always use a cream with a high UV filter in the sun to prevent them from darkening.

How long will it take for me to recover?

You can usually go home the same day, but take the time to recover properly. You may experience pain immediately after the procedure. The breasts may also feel sensitive, swollen or tense during the first few days and there may temporarily be less sensation in the nipples. These symptoms will disappear on their own. Heavy physical activities, intensive sports or lifting are not recommended in the first weeks after surgery. After a few weeks you can resume (light) daily activities. Do this slowly so that the wound and scars can heal quickly.

breast reduction

What are the risks of a breast reduction surgery?

A breast reduction is a safe procedure and complications are very rare. But like any other surgical operation, there are risks involved. Sometimes a scar does not heal as well as expected or there is excessive capsular formation or capsular contraction around the implant. Dr. Kazem discusses the possible risks in detail during the consultation.

Will I have a scar?

Visible scars are unavoidable with a breast reduction. The type of scar, vertical or anchor-shaped, depends on the shape and size of the breast. The scars will be red right after the operation, but they will lighten on their own over time. Scars heal better and become smoother with a special scar cream. Our Nefera Scar Cream smoothes the scars and promotes healing. Expose the scars as little as possible to direct sunlight in the first year and always use a cream with a high UV filter in the sun to prevent them from darkening.

How long will it take for me to recover?

You can usually go home the same day. After the procedure, your breasts will be sensitive and swollen, this gradually disappears on its own. You should take it easy for the first week after surgery. You can then resume most of your daily activities. Heavy physical exertion, sports and lifting are not recommended for the first six weeks to ensure rapid healing of the breast tissue and scars.

Cellulite Treatment

Which areas can be treated with NuEra® Tight™?

The advanced technology of NuEra® Tight™ is extremely versatile. Your skin can be tightened and smoothened from head to toe, thus reducing cellulite. The most popular treatment areas include abdomen, flanks, thighs, buttocks and upper arms.

Is the treatment suitable for everyone?

If you have one or more of the following conditions, you are not eligible for a NuEra treatment:

  • Electrical or metal implants such as a pacemaker, joints, plates or screws
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • Open wounds in the treatment area
  • Hypersensitivity to heat
Are there any risks to the treatment?

We do everything we can to guarantee your comfort and safety during every treatment. Very occasionally, the radiofrequency energy causes bruising and blistering of the tissue. However, this is very rare as the technology of the NuEra® Tight™ device continuously monitors the temperature to prevent these risks.

Are the results permanent?

Unfortunately, the results of NuEra® Tight™ are not permanent. The results last up to six months after the last treatment. However, with occasional touch-ups, sunscreen use and good skin care, the results of NuEra® Tight™ can last for years. Also, the results can be maintained with follow-up treatments. Dr. Kazem will work with you to create a personalized treatment plan with an optimal effect for your body.

Is NuEra® Tight safe?

The NuEra® Tight System is FDA approved and scientifically proven to be safe and effective. It is a non-surgical procedure with very low risk of side effects. The radiofrequency energy can be customized, taking into account different indications, variations in skin and tissue layers, between body parts and patients. This ensures your safety and the treatment’s efficiency.

CoolSculpting

How much does the treatment cost?

A CRISTAL Pro treatment usually consists of several cycles. The number of cycles depends on the location, the amount of the fat needs to be removed and your goals. A treatment always starts with a free consultation, during which you receive an assessment and a personal treatment plan. The price of a single cycle depends on the total number of cycles and is between €510 and €710.

What are the effects after the treatment?

Sometimes a bruise or sensitive skin may develop, but this will disappear on its own. There may also be a little less sensation in the treated area for a few weeks. As with other treatments, every body reacts differently.

Is CRISTAL Pro a replacement for liposuction?

No, liposuction is a method of removing fat in one go. CRISTAL Pro is a good alternative to remove smaller, localized fat deposits without the risks and the long recovery period of surgical procedures.

Read more in our CoolSculpting vs. Liposuction blog post here.

Are the results permanent?

The removal of the fat cells is permanent. However, it is important to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle in order not to develop new fat cells.

Does CRISTAL Pro help with weight loss?

CRISTAL Pro has been developed to improve the contours of your body. This treatment is not suitable for losing a lot of weight in one go or for treating obesity. CRISTAL Pro is intended for relatively healthy and fit people who exercise regularly and eat healthy, but have stubborn fat that does not disappear with a diet or exercise.

Is CRISTAL Pro safe?

The most important thing about a treatment is that it is safe and produces results. The fat freezing by cryolipolysis, when done with the official CRISTAL Pro device, has FDA approval. FDA approval is a guarantee that a treatment works, the results are there and that it is safe. CRISTAL Pro is the only treatment approved by the FDA for cryolipolysis.

Double Chin Correction

What are the effects after treatment?

Sometimes a bruise or sensitive skin may develop, but this will disappear on its own. There may also be a little less sensation in the treated area for a few weeks. As with other treatments, every body reacts differently.

Are the results permanent?

Removing the fat cells is permanent. It is important to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle to prevent new fat cells from developing.
Prior to CoolSculpting, liposuction was the only option to correct a double chin, but thanks to the new technology, you can now remove your double chin without surgery or downtime.

Is CRISTAL Pro safe?

Kazem Aesthetica only performs a treatment if it is safe and produces results. The cryolipolysis method (freezing fat cells without surgery) of CRISTAL Pro has an FDA approval. An FDA approval guarantees that a treatment works and is safe. On average, about 20% of the fat cells disappear after just one treatment. CRISTAL Pro is the only treatment approved by the FDA for cryolipolysis.

How does a double chin form?

A double chin is not only the result of too much food and little exercise. Your gender, genes, hormones and age also play a role.

EMSculpt

Can EmSculpt be done in combination with CRISTAL Pro?

The treatment can be done as a stand-alone treatment or in addition to a CRISTAL Pro treatment. After your permanent fat reduction treatment, you can decide to opt for an EMSCULPT treatment to further improve your muscle mass and get a more toned body figure.

How long will the results remain visible?

Studies show that the majority of clients still have strong muscles and less fat a year after treatment. However, we recommend that you book another consultation a few months after your treatment to see if you would benefit from any additional  maintenance. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is key to sustaining your long-term results.

Are you sure it works? It sounds too good to be true….

We have already treated over 200 patients in our clinic and we are seeing great results! Everyone is very enthusiastic about this technology. There are also several scientific studies that show that EMSCULPT’s results are truly efficient.

Is EMSCULPT safe?

EMSCULPT is FDA-approved, has a medical CE mark and is the first innovative technology shown in multiple studies to target both muscle and fat. During your consultation, we will explain all safety details with you.

Is EmSculpt right for me?

Almost everyone benefits from the EMSCULPT treatment. During your personal consultation we will discuss your wishes and expectations. We will then put together a personalized treatment plan for you.

Eyebrow Lift

How long will it take before I can move freely and exercise again?

After 2 weeks you are completely back to your old self and you can exercise and move freely again. Sometimes, depending on your recovery, this can also happen sooner. This will be discussed with you during your follow-up appointment.

Do the stitches need to be removed?

Dr. Kazem works with dissolvable sutures, so they do not have to be removed. A week after the procedure there is a check-up to see if everything is healing well.

Am I the right candidate?

You are especially suitable for this operation if you have hanging eyebrows and already have some wrinkles on your forehead. The wrinkles and skin folds can be used to hide the scar. That is why a direct eyebrow lift is also used less with young people, because they have hardly any wrinkles / folds above the eyebrows and the scar becomes more visible.

Do I have to take anything into account before and after the procedure?

You will need to take the following measures approximately 2 to 4 weeks before the procedure:

  • Do not drink coffee and tea.
  • Quit alcohol.
  • Don’t smoke.
  • Use 3 x 20 Arnica drops every day and take D.6 (homeopathic drops).
  • Take 1 gram of vitamin C per day.
  • Do not use aspirin and/or other blood thinners (paracetamol is allowed).
  • Purchase a gel mask that can be refrigerated in the freezer for after the procedure.

After the operation you will continue to take the Arnica drops and the vitamin C for another 6 weeks, these measures will reduce the swelling and speed up healing.

What are the risks?

Complications are not common with the direct eyebrow lift. There may be some bruising around the eyelids, especially if you have high blood pressure or are taking blood thinners.

face lift

What are the risks of a facelift?

As with any surgery, there are risks associated with a facelift. Smokers should not smoke for at least six months before and after surgery to reduce the risk of complications. Some potential risks include hair loss, nerve damage, and delayed wound healing. Dr. Kazem will discuss these risks and complications with you during your consultation.

Are the scars visible?

Most women use their hair to hide the scars. Do you have short hair? Then it may be a good idea to let your hair grow a little longer while the scars are still fresh.

How long will it take for me to recover?

After your facelift, you can expect some bruising and swelling. Most swellings disappear within about a week, for the bruises you should count on 2-3 weeks. Bandages applied after surgery are usually removed within a few days and stitches are removed within 1-2 weeks.

fillers

Are the results permanent?

Our fillers are temporary; your body breaks down the hyaluronic acid itself. The effect of a filler treatment lasts about 6 to 12 months, depending on where the filler is injected. If no new treatment is given, the wrinkles and folds will return or the lips will become thinner. The natural aging process of the skin continues naturally. A repeat treatment with fillers can be perfectly adapted to the new situation. By keeping up with the treatments, the effect remains natural and overtreatment is prevented.

Are fillers safe?

At Kazem Aesthetica we use soft gels made from hyaluronic acid. Fillers based on hyaluronic acid are safe and reliable. Hyaluronic acid is a sugar molecule that occurs naturally in our own skin. A filler restores the hyaluronic acid content and gives the skin its young, fresh appearance again.

How long will it take for me to recover?

There may be some bruising or slight swelling immediately after the treatment, but this will disappear within a few days. A good injection technique and a filler with the right fluidity reduce the chance of this. The result will be immediately visible. Kazem Aesthetica’s filler is composed in such a way that the skin feels natural and soft after the injection. Because hyaluronic acid binds the moisture in our skin, the final result will only be visible after about 4 to 6 weeks.

Which areas can be treated with fillers?
  • Lips: For naturally looking fuller lips while removing any wrinkles around the lips as well.
  • Wrinkles: for tighter skin and a fresh, youthful appearance.
  • Sagging mouth: for lifting the corners of your mouth and marionette lines.
  • Nasal lip fold: for filling the nasal lip fold and repairing sagging skin on the cheeks.

Hydrafacial

What is Vortex Fusion?

What sets HydraFacial apart from other skin treatments?

HydraFacial uses the unique, patented Vortex-Fusion system. This ensures that the skin is exfoliated, tightened and hydrated without pain.

How do I know if HydraFacial is right for me?

HydraFacial can be applied to everyone because of the many options. Do you want to tackle fine lines and wrinkles? More elasticity and firmness for your skin? Do you want to improve the structure of your skin or reduce dark spots or enlarged pores? HydraFacial offers a solution for different skin types.

Injectables

Are the results permanent?

The effect of injectables is temporary and the result is visible for three to six months. Stronger muscles will become active again faster. Deep wrinkles and strong muscles are initially treated every three to four months. When you have an injectables treatment done more often, the result will remain visible for longer.

Is an injectable treatment safe?

An injectable treatment is a medical treatment. When performed by a knowledgeable physician, injectables are safe for both medical and aesthetic applications.

How long will I need to recover?

Following your treatment, there may be slight redness of the skin or minor swelling. This goes away very quickly, usually within ten minutes. You can resume your daily activities immediately after the treatment. You will see a difference within a few days and the results will be optimal after two weeks. The skin looks smooth and relaxed, wrinkles are less deep or have even completely disappeared. You look fresh and rested.

How can injectables help against sagging corners of the mouth?

Overactive muscles that pull down the corners of the mouth can also slacken the jawline. This gives the face a dissatisfied and tired expression. Injectables relax these muscles and activate the muscles that lift the corners of the mouth. As a result, the corners of the mouth look naturally relaxed again and the jawline is also slightly tightened. Additional treatment with fillers is possible if volume loss occurs at the same time.

Can injectables help with drooping eyebrows?

Sometimes drooping eyebrows also cause drooping eyelids. This gives a feeling of pressure on the eyelids and sometimes even causes headaches. An eyelid correction is not always necessary.

By relaxing the right muscles, other muscles become more active and the eyebrows and also the eyelids are lifted. This ensures a fresh look.

How can injectables soften frown lines and crow's feet?

Injectables are very suitable for men and women with a very active facial expression. A lot of frowning and laughing can cause wrinkles and crow’s feet. Injectables relax the overactive muscles and give the skin a rest, which softens wrinkles.

Liposuction

What are the risks of liposuction?

Although liposuction is very safe, complications such as infection, bleeding, hematoma, nerve damage or skin ulcers can occur. Very rarely there is a pulmonary embolism or pulmonary edema. Our technique and method reduce these risks, so that you usually only have to deal with swelling, numb skin and bruising. These usually disappear within a few weeks. During the consultation, Dr. Kazem will discuss all risks in detail.

Will I have a scar?

Kazem Aesthetica uses very small cannulas to aspirate the fat and therefore only very small incisions are needed. Most liposuction scars fade and disappear over time.

How long will it take for me to recover?

Most daily activities can be resumed within a few days. It is important to get up and move within a day of surgery to minimize the chance of developing blood clots. The strenuous activities should be avoided for about 4-6 weeks.

Is liposuction suitable for obesity and cellulite?

Liposuction is not a treatment for obesity, nor is it a substitute for proper diet and exercise. It also has no effect on cellulite (dimples in the skin on thighs, hips and buttocks) or on loose, sagging skin.

Do I need to wear compression garments after surgery?

It is certainly advisable to wear compression clothing after the liposuction treatment. Wearing this has proven to speed up the healing process and minimize swelling and bruising. In addition, small temporary drains can be placed in existing incisions under the skin to remove excess blood or fluid.

lower eyelid correction

When is a lower eyelid correction reimbursed?

The correction of the lower eyelids is always cosmetic and is not reimbursed. An upper eyelid correction is occasionally reimbursed. Nevertheless, eyelid correction is one of the most frequently performed procedures worldwide. This is because it is a minor procedure with a quick recovery and long-lasting and visible results. In general, patients are very satisfied with the result.

How long will the result remain visible?

You can enjoy a lower eyelid correction for many years to come. However, the natural skin aging and weakening of the connective tissue will continue. As a result, it is sometimes necessary to have a lower eyelid correction done again after fifteen years. The advantage of a timely lower eyelid correction is that the skin will sag less quickly in the long term. Because there are no more fat deposits, there is less tension on the skin.

What are the risks of a lower eyelid correction?

By following the natural line of the eyes, the scars will not or hardly be visible after healing. However, with every operation there is always a small risk of complications such as wound infection, bleeding or a slower scar recovery. Dr. Kazem takes the time to discuss these risks in detail with you during the consultation.

How big is the scar?

When it concerns only fatty tissue, a small incision on the inside of the lower eyelid is sufficient and the scar is not visible later. In the case of weaker skin, skin is also removed and tightened and the eye muscle is corrected, then an incision is made just below the lash line. After healing, the scar will be virtually invisible. Our Nefera Scar Cream soothes the scar and promotes faster healing.

How long will it take for me to recover?

You will hardly have any pain; you can usually take paracetamol if needed. You can go home about an hour after the procedure. Cooling the eyes regularly and taking rest reduces swelling and bruising. This is important for a quick and good recovery of the scars, because the less swelling, the faster the scar tissue comes to rest. The first days after the procedure you will look a little less presentable, but you will soon be able to resume light daily activities. For a good recovery, heavy physical activities, intensive sports and lifting are not recommended in the first weeks after surgery.

Nose job

What are the risks of a rhinoplasty?

Although a rhinoplasty is a safe procedure, complications such as postoperative bleeding or infection or a septal hematoma/perforation can occur. The desired result can also be disappointing due to irregularities.

Is a rhinoplasty painful?

The days after the procedure you will experience little to moderate pain that you can combat with paracetamol 500-1000 mg, possibly combined with ibuprofen 400 mg. Prior to your surgery, we will explain how you can use painkillers during your recovery period.

Will I get a scar?

With a ‘closed’ technique there are no visible scars. With an ‘open’ rhinoplasty you will get a small scar in the columella, which is only visible from below. This incision is meticulously stitched and with good healing the scar will be barely visible.

How long will it take for me to recover?

The nasal tampon is removed at the end of the day or the next morning. The septal and nasal splints and the tape and sutures are removed one week after surgery. The first week your nose may be stuffy and you can use a decongestant (xylometazoline). The skin around the eyes may be swollen and there may be bruising. This is especially the case when there is osteotomy, the cutting of a bone. The swelling and redness will mostly disappear in the first two weeks. It can take several months to a year for all the swelling to disappear. We recommend that you do not work and do sports for at least a week after the operation. Depending on how you feel, light activities are allowed in the first week. In general, you can resume your work after 7 – 10 days.

How do I prepare for surgery?
  • Make sure your body is in good shape.
  • Do not smoke or drink alcohol in the period before the operation.
  • Try not to take aspirin, anti-inflammatory drugs, and herbal supplements as these can make bleeding worse.
  • Use your normal medication unless we advise otherwise.
Am I eligible for a rhinoplasty?

Surgery on the nose can be performed if:

  • Your facial growth is complete and you are physically healthy.
  • You do not smoke or stop smoking in the period surrounding the operation.
  • You are realistic about the results and are really doing it for yourself.

rejuvenate skin

How many treatments are needed for the desired result?

This depends on your personalized treatment plan and whether you are being treated with Clear + Brilliant® or Fraxel®. In general, about 1 to 6 treatments are needed for the ideal result.

What are the effects after treatment?

Both Clear + Brilliant® and Fraxel® give red skin after the treatment. This is due to the intensity of the laser. This redness can last 1-2 days after the Clear + Brilliant®. With Fraxel®, the redness usually lasts a little longer. Most clients can resume normal activities immediately after treatment with Clear + Brilliant®.

Are the results permanent?

The results depend on the condition of your skin, whether you have a specific condition and how you care for your skin. The results can last for about 1 to 2 years. Clear + Brilliant® achieves the best results when you periodically repeat the treatment. In this way, the skin gets a boost again and again and becomes even more beautiful. With Fraxel®, one treatment series is usually sufficient. Dr. Kazem will advise you on the most optimal treatment plan for your skin.

Are your Clear + Brilliant® and Fraxel® laser treatments safe?

Yes, our treatments are FDA approved and suitable for treating wrinkles around the eyes, reducing acne and surgery scars, age spots on forehead, cheeks, upper lip and nose, hyperpigmentation, actinic keratoses (skin condition) and skin renewal.

SensiSlim

Why should I consider the SensiSlim® program?

SensiSlim® is a unique body transformation program that requires no surgery, endoscopy and no downtime. Do you want your pre-pregnancy figure back? Do you want tighter body contours to feel more confident again? Then SensiSlim® is the program for you.

How do I know if I qualify for SensiSlim®'s body transformation programs?

In a personal conversation with Dr. Kazem he explains everything about SensiSlim®. Together you will discuss whether this treatment is suitable for you based on your wishes and expectations. He will tell you exactly what to expect from the result and create a fully customized SensiSlim® program for you based on your goals. You choose where you want to start: with the swallowable gastric balloon, with a personal program for weight loss and healthy lifestyle or with, for example, shaping by CoolSculpting®.

Skin Rejuvenation

What are the effects after treatment?

Both Clear + Brilliant® and Fraxel® give red skin after the treatment. This is due to the intensity of the laser. This redness can last 1-2 days after the Clear + Brilliant. With Fraxel®, the redness usually lasts a little longer. Most clients can resume normal activities immediately after treatment with Clear + Brilliant®.

Are the results permanent?

The result depends on the condition of your skin, whether you have a specific condition and how you care for your skin. The results can last for about 1 to 2 years. Clear + Brilliant achieves the best results when you periodically repeat the treatment. In this way, the skin gets a boost again and again and becomes more and more beautiful. With Fraxel, one treatment series is usually sufficient.

Thermage & NuEra

How many treatments are needed for a desired result?

For Thermage FLX, the desired result is already achieved after a single treatment. With NuEra Tight, the advice is to undergo 6 to 10 treatments for the best results.

Is there a risk of side effects after the treatment?

Unwanted side effects are rare if the technique is applied by experienced specialists. Very occasionally we see bruises or blisters develop after the use of radiofrequency energy.

My jawline is saggy; does it work for that too?

From a certain age, the jawline sags and slackens in many people. This often gives an older appearance which can be fixed with a facelift. A Thermage treatment offers a perfect alternative for those who do not wish to undergo surgery. It is non-surgical and delivers a beautiful result with a firmer jawline and fresher looking face.

Are the results permanent?

Unfortunately, the results are not permanent. It also partly depends on which treatment you undergo. The difference between Thermage and NuEra is the intensity of the treatment. Thermage uses a higher radio frequency energy than NuEra. NuEra uses the same technique but less intensely. For both treatments, we will develop a personalized treatment plan to maintain your desired appearance. With maintenance, use of sunscreen and good skin care, the results can last for years.

Are radiofrequency treatments safe?

The NuEra Tight and Thermage treatments are FDA-approved and scientifically proven to be safe and effective. Some clients have temporary redness or slight swelling after the treatment, but this usually disappears within 24 hours.

tummy tuck

When am I eligible for a tummy tuck?

You are eligible for an abdominoplasty if you have excess fat or skin in the abdominal area that barely disappears with diet or exercise. The procedure can also be performed if you have developed loose skin due to a lot of weight loss or if the elasticity of the skin has decreased due to age or even pregnancy.

How long do I have to recover?

Most people can return to work after 4 weeks, depending of course on the type of work you do. The advice here is to listen to your body. After the operation you will be given a firm elastic abdominal band that provides sufficient support. We advise you not to exercise or perform heavy activities for 6 to 8 weeks.

Is there a chance of complications?

Although an abdominoplasty is very safe, minor complications can occur. Before the operation it is important that you are healthy (for example: a correct BMI and high blood pressure or diabetes well under control) because otherwise the surgery risk is too great. Possible complications can include: wound infection, bleeding or tissue death. In addition, the abdomen may no longer be completely symmetrical or you may retain excess skin on the sides of the scar (‘dogears’). In almost all cases, the result of a complication can be repaired.

What is the difference between a mini tummy tuck and a full tummy tuck?

If you have loose skin and excess fatty tissue only on the lower abdomen, a mini tummy tuck might be a good option. If you have loose skin and excess fatty tissue above and below the navel, we recommend a full tummy tuck. A full tummy tuck is a larger and longer surgery which also requires a longer recovery period.

Upper eyelid correction

What do I need to take into account before and after the procedure?

2-4 weeks before the procedure, the following measures should be observed:

  • No coffee/tea (possibly Decaf or other decaffeinated coffee) Herbal tea is allowed – (peppermint, green tea, rooibos and all other types of tea without theine)
  • No alcohol
  • No smoking
  • Take 3 x 20 Arnica drops, D.6 every day (these are homeopathic drops).
  • 1 gram of vitamin C per day
  • No aspirin and/or other blood thinners (paracetamol is allowed)
  • For the eyebrow lift or eyelid correction, it is useful to have a gel mask (which can be put in the freezer) at home because it is advised to cool well and a lot after the operation

Taking the Arnica drops and the vitamin C should be continued until 6 weeks after the procedure.

When is an upper eyelid correction reimbursed?

The conditions set by the insurer for reimbursement of an upper eyelid correction are strict. The eyelid correction may not be cosmetic, but must correct a serious visual impairment.

How long will the result remain visible?

You can enjoy a well-performed upper eyelid correction for many years to come. You will look younger after the procedure, but natural skin aging will continue. In order to keep a fresh and open view, it may sometimes be necessary to repeat the upper eyelid correction after fifteen years. The advantage of a timely upper eyelid correction is that the skin will sag less quickly in the long term. By removing excess skin and fat, the eyelids are less likely to suffer from gravity.

What are the risks of an upper eyelid correction?

An eyelid correction is a relatively simple operation. However, with every operation there is always a small risk of complications such as wound infection, bleeding or a slower scar recovery.
Dr. Kazem takes the time to discuss these risks in detail with you during the consultation.

Will I have a scar?

The recovery period is virtually painless. The stitches can be removed after about five days. The cut follows the natural contour of the eyelid and is made exactly in the crease of the eyelid. As a result, the scar will no longer be visible later on. Our Nefera Scar Cream soothes the scar and promotes its fast healing.

How long will it take for me to recover?

Immediately after the procedure, cooling with, for example, ice glasses will reduce any swelling and bruising. You will hardly have any pain; you can usually take paracetamol if needed. You can go home about half an hour after the procedure. Rest and regular cooling of the eyes ensure a smooth recovery. The first days after the procedure you will look a little less presentable, but you will soon be able to resume light daily activities. For a speedy recovery, heavy physical activities, intensive sports and lifting are not recommended in the first weeks after surgery.
