Why do we develop droopy lower eyelids?

Share via: Facebook Twitter LinkedIN Link

Drooping lower eyelids, also known as puffiness, usually develop in men and women over the age of forty. That’s because with age, the thin skin around the eyes loses its elasticity. In addition, the connective tissue becomes weaker, causing the protective fat tissue around our eyes to sag and visibly bulge. This causes extra tension on the skin and accelerates the slackening of the eyelids.
